Job Description

We are seeking a business-oriented Python Developer to join the internal technology team supporting Risk and Middle Office functions across the firm. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business, working closely with portfolio managers, risk teams, and operations to build tools, automate processes, and generate analytics that support trading and investment decision-making. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based tools and applications supporting Risk and Middle Office technology platforms, including new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. • Build analytics and reporting solutions to evaluate trading performance, risk exposure, and profitability metrics. • Conduct data analysis using Snowflake to generate insights for portfolio managers, risk teams, and operational stakeholders. • Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency across trading, risk monitoring, and middle/back office workflows. • Maintain and enhance existing applications and scripts supporting risk monitoring, trading operations, and portfolio management processes. • Provide support for existing C# desktop applications, including debugging, troubleshooting, and minor enhancements. • Participate in the modernization of legacy systems, gradually migrating selected C# components to Python where appropriate. • Build and maintain system integrations and data pipelines between internal platforms and external financial systems. • Investigate and resolve production issues, data discrepancies, and system performance problems across the risk technology ecosystem. • Work closely with portfolio managers, risk teams, and operations to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Implement testing, deployment, and CI/CD best practices to ensure reliability and scalability of internal applications. • Collaborate with internal technology and data teams to maintain data integrity, platform stability, and system scalability.
