Job Description

Key Responsibilities: • Establish and maintain settlement and clearing workflows/channels for FICC businesses (Bonds/Fixed Income, FX, Cash Commodities, and derivatives); formulate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clearing. • Liaise with external institutions such as custodian banks, prime brokers (PB), and clearinghouses to facilitate account opening and establish connections between internal and external workflows. Lead the setup of settlement channels for cross-border businesses such as QFII/QDII. • Conduct counterparty onboarding, managing the preparation and exchange of documents related to account opening and trading agreements. • Perform valuation (including mark-to-market and amortized cost methods) and reconciliation processes. Verify data consistency between internal systems and third parties (e.g., Custodians/PB), and assist in investigating and resolving valuation breaks/discrepancies. • Handle trade lifecycle events (e.g., coupon payments, redemptions, credit events, rate resets, swap compressions, etc.). Manage margin call processes (Initial Margin and Variation Margin) and handle exceptions such as settlement fails. • Collaborate with IT/Technology teams to define business requirements for middle/back-office systems, driving the progressive systematization and automation of departmental workflows. • Ensure all middle and back-office operations strictly comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements; support relevant regulatory reporting and internal/external audits.
