Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Program Director / Senior Program Manager to lead a large-scale technology program across Japan and India, with end-to-end ownership of delivery, client relationships, commercial performance, people leadership, and AI transformation. Key Responsibilities • Own program scope, roadmap, budget, quality, risks and delivery. • Lead onsite Japan and offshore India teams as one integrated organization. • Manage senior Hitachi BSBU stakeholders and executive governance. • Drive commercial performance, staffing, forecasting and change management. • Ensure predictable releases, quality, UAT and production readiness. • Identify and deliver AI opportunities including predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, intelligent search and AI-assisted engineering. • Build a strong leadership culture across Japan and India. Key Requirements • 10+ years in software engineering/delivery. • 5+ years managing programs with 100+ people. • Experience owning multi-million-dollar onsite/offshore programs. • Strong Agile + Waterfall/Japanese delivery experience. • Understanding of AWS/Azure, microservices, APIs, CI/CD and data platforms. • Practical knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI-assisted engineering and model evaluation. • Excellent English and strong executive/client communication skills. • Willing and eligible to work onsite in Japan. Preferred Experience with Industrial IoT, elevators/escalators, HVAC, facilities management, field service, predictive maintenance, Japanese clients, or business-level Japanese. Show More
