VDI & Virtualization Engineer

Job Description

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced VDI & Virtualization Engineer to join its technology team. This is a hands-on engineering role supporting sophisticated virtual desktop and end-user computing environments, with significant exposure to Citrix, virtualisation, cloud, endpoint management, and automation. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise VDI and desktop environments. • Support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops across both on-premise and Citrix Cloud environments, including FAS, Cloud Connectors, and StoreFront. • Support migrations to and from Citrix Cloud and integration with wider enterprise infrastructure. • Engineer and maintain virtualisation platforms including VMware and Nutanix. • Support Citrix integration with AWS and Microsoft Azure, including Azure Virtual Desktop, virtual machines, identity, and networking. • Build, deploy, and manage Windows 10/11 desktop environments and thin-client infrastructure. • Manage enterprise endpoints using Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM. • Troubleshoot complex L1-L3 infrastructure, desktop, connectivity, authentication, and end-user issues. • Develop automation and scripting solutions using technologies such as PowerShell, Power Automate, ServiceNow, and UiPath. • Support enterprise applications and collaboration tools including Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive. • Maintain endpoint security standards including encryption, antivirus, patch management, and device compliance.
