Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all members/guests of Woodside by properly assessing the pool areas and acting quickly when responding to emergencies. The Lifeguard works diligently to uphold and enforce all policies set forth by Woodside. Responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with all pool staff and members. Duties / Responsibilities While on Stand - Maintains continuous surveillance of all members / guests in the pool - Monitors all swimmers and pool participants to ensure that all follow safety protocols and rules of the pool - Continuously scans the pool and surrounding areas for potential hazards and take proactive steps to help avoid accidents - Readily responds to drownings or injuries by providing appropriate first aid and/or CPR care and treatment aa needed until emergency medical services arrive to takeover
