FX Operations Specialist | Global Multi-Strategy Hedge FundOur client is a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund with a strong presence across Fixed Income & Macro, Relative Value, Equities, Capital Markets and Quantitative Trading strategies. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an FX Operations Specialist to support a dynamic investment platform and work directly alongside Portfolio Managers and traders in a fast-paced environment.The RoleThis is a highly visible role sitting within the Operations team, providing daily support across the FX trading lifecycle. You will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Risk, Product Control, Technology, Fund Administrators, Prime Brokers and external counterparties to ensure accurate trade processing, reconciliation, and issue resolution across a range of FX products.This position offers excellent exposure to a sophisticated hedge fund environment and would suit candidates looking to move closer to the investment process while developing expertise across global FX markets.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily cash and position reconciliations across internal systems, prime brokers and external platformsInvestigate, escalate and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely mannerSupport trade capture and trade support activities for FX portfoliosMonitor and manage lifecycle events including settlements, expiries, cashflows and position maintenanceInvestigate booking discrepancies, trade breaks and P&L-related queriesLiaise regularly with Portfolio Managers, traders, risk, finance and external counterpartiesIdentify operational inefficiencies and contribute to process improvement initiativesAssist with operational controls and ensure data integrity across platformsRequirements2-5 years of experience gained within hedge funds, asset management, investment banking, or fund operations environmentsStrong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycleExposure toFX products including:Spot FXFX ForwardsNDFsFX SwapsFX Options / Exotic FX productsExperience in trade support, middle office, operations or product control functionsFamiliarity with OMS and trading platforms such as Bloomberg AIM, Orchestrade, Geneva or similar systems is advantageousStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-strategy investment environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat's on OfferOpportunity to join a globally recognised multi-strategy hedge fundDirect interaction with Portfolio Managers and investment teamsBroad exposure across global FX trading and hedge fund operationsCollaborative, high-performance environment with strong career development opportunitiesCompetitive compensation package and long-term growth potentialIf you are currently working in FX Operations, Trade Support, Middle Office, Product Control or Fund Operations and are looking for an opportunity to join a leading hedge fund platform, we would be interested in speaking with you.
