Job Description

Development • Design, develop and maintain Java-based backend applications for equities trading and financial markets. • Build and enhance high-performance, event-driven trading systems across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment. • Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver robust solutions for trading and market-facing applications. Requirements • Strong experience developing large-scale, complex event-driven / reactive systems, including fault-tolerant and globally distributed applications with high-frequency message and event workflows. • Strong Java and/or C++ development experience building high-performance systems, with solid knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, networking and data structures & algorithms. • Good understanding of financial markets and instruments, ideally across Equities, FX, Derivatives, Commodities or Risk. • Experience working on trading systems, order processing, market data, trade capture or execution-related applications is highly relevant. • Strong focus on code quality, testing and delivering production-ready solutions within Agile / TDD environments. • Good knowledge of CPU/GPU architecture, memory management, shared memory / memory-mapped files, TCP/UDP and Linux internals. • For Java developers, knowledge of JVM internals, GC, JNI, Java Unsafe and JNR-FFI is advantageous. • Knowledge of Aeron is preferred. • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related technical discipline.
