Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer (Kafka, Microservices) to design, build and run event-driven services that support structured-products negotiation and trading connectivity. You will develop stateless Java microservices, harden streaming reliability and observability and deliver through GitLab CI/CD and Kubernetes. You will collaborate globally across product, platform and support teams. Responsibilities • Design, build and test stateless Java microservices and shared libraries for Kafka-based messaging • Implement routing, transformation and enrichment of messages between internal systems and external partners • Strengthen reliability through robust error handling, schema compatibility and deterministic processing • Build production-ready observability using metrics, logs and tracing to support fast incident triage • Deliver services across environments via GitLab CI/CD and Kubernetes, supporting releases and operations • Write high-quality unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews and raise engineering standards • Integrate external trading platforms and venues with internal reference data, product and instrument services • Support FIX connectivity where required for venue and platform integration Show More
