Procurement QA/QC Engineer-Welding

Job Description

Scope of Work & Responsibilities: Conduct pre-qualification assessment for vendors and manufacturers, focusing on review of welding-related pre-qualification documents within procurement packages.Define welding and quality requirements in MR/TBE templates, and perform dual review for critical procurement packages involving welding activities.Review vendor documentation including welding plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), WPS/PQR, welder qualifications and other welding-related quality procedures.Oversee and coordinate welding inspection, testing and certification activities assigned to relevant personnel.Review welding inspection flash reports, progress reports and final close-out reports submitted by third-party inspectors.Ensure all welding activities comply with applicable codes, standards and client quality requirements.Support preparation and approval of Technical Deviation Requests (TDR) for welding-related items as applicable.Take part in vendor/manufacturer quality audits, focusing on verification of their welding capability, welder qualifications and process implementation.Provide specialist QA/QC advice on welding discipline during technical clarification and bid evaluation stages.Liaise with third-party certification bodies and Client to confirm welding inspection requirements and witness arrangements.Technical Requirements: Show More
