Part-time Mathematics Specialist Teacher

Job Description

Start: August 2026 Island Waldorf School is seeking a part-time Mathematics Specialist to support the teaching of Mathematics in Classes 7 and 8. Working alongside the class teachers, the Mathematics Specialist will teach small classes of approximately 10–15 students. The teacher will be provided with the curriculum topics and expected learning outcomes, and will prepare appropriate lesson materials, exercises and activities for each class. We are looking for a teacher who has strong subject knowledge and can make Mathematics clear, lively and meaningful. Lessons should combine explicit teaching and purposeful practice with practical and experiential approaches that help students understand mathematical concepts rather than simply memorise procedures.
