Role Overview This is a critical role essential for the operating of SLAMHK. The candidate must possess hands‑on experience in asset management and will assist the CEO in operating the company with a focus on back‑office operations and controls. Key Responsibilities • Take ownership of all operational processes, such as order management, order reconciliation, fee calculation, and related activities. • Ensure overall back‑office operational accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency while supporting the daily operation of SLAMHK. • Continuously enhance existing operations framework through automation and other improvements. • Establish and maintain adequate and effective controls over operations to manage risks and ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. • Contribute to the company’s strategic planning and implementation, taking ownership of various business projects. • Oversee compliance‑related reporting, controls, monitoring, and issue escalation, ensuring adherence to asset‑management rules. • Enhance and maintain a robust framework for financial/management reporting and other operational processes. • Support the CEO in developing and implementing the overall company strategy. • Lead projects such as back‑office automation, internal and external audits, and other initiatives. • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. • Streamline processes, workflows, and systems to enhance productivity and deliver exceptional client service. • Leverage technology advancements and digital solutions to improve efficiency and deliver innovative services. • Manage relationships and work closely with internal functions (compliance, internal audit, finance, legal) and external parties (custodian, fund managers, trustees, etc.). • Attract, develop, and retain a high‑performing team; provide mentoring, coaching, and guidance to foster collaboration and professional growth. Qualifications • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. • Professional qualification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus. • At least 10 years of solid fund‑industry experience, ideally covering different aspects of an asset‑management business. • Exceptional implementation and execution skills, with a willingness to take ownership and go the extra mile. • Strong teamwork orientation and a positive, can‑do attitude. • Diligent, compliance‑minded, able to work under pressure, and keen on efficiency. • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
