Job Description

The University of Hong Kong Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Clinical Associate Professor/Clinical Assistant Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 537482), to commence as soon as possible, on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure prior to the expiry of a second four-year fixed-term contract, subject to satisfactory performance. The Faculty of Dentistry is the only dental school in Hong Kong, China and the only one in China that uses English as the medium of instruction. The high quality of the Faculty’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, research excellence, knowledge exchange (KE) and clinical/professional services have attained global recognition, as evidenced by the Faculty’s global rankings among the top three by the QS World University Rankings by Subject for ten out of the past twelve years (2015-2026). The Faculty’s strategic research themes include AI+ & Precision Dentistry, Regenerative Dentistry, Global Oral Health, and Oral Ecosystem & One Health. The Faculty also plays important roles in public and professional education through its KE activities and Global Education Hub for Oral Healthcare Professionals (GEHOHP), translational research & innovation via its Global Hub for Future Dentistry (GHFD) in collaboration with HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Core and Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, and enhancement of its global impacts through proactive engagement, networking and partnership.
