Deputy COO

About the Company Our client is a Hong Kong-based asset management firm with approximately USD 4 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM). The firm is seeking an experienced Deputy COO to support its senior management team across operations, risk management, finance, governance and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities • Oversee risk management frameworks, including market risk, portfolio exposures and VaR monitoring. • Supervise fund operations, back-office functions, finance, FRR and regulatory reporting. • Strengthen corporate governance, internal controls and operational risk management frameworks. • Review portfolio risks and risk management practices in collaboration with the investment team. • Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, professional advisers and external service providers. • Support regulatory matters and liaise with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). • Lead and develop the Operations team, ensuring effective delivery across key functions. • Act as a senior deputy to the COO, providing leadership, operational oversight and business continuity during their absence.
