Job Description

We are seeking an Investment Operations Associate to join our Asia General Account Investment team. The team serves as the in-house investment manager for Manulife's Asia Segment's approximately USD 116 billion of life insurance company assets.

The successful candidate will assist the team with various responsibilities, including:

Reviewing and producing financial reports, board reports, and other finance-related materials
Performing financial and data analysis to develop insights and deliverables for management
Supporting finance and business management activities, such as budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis
Assisting with reviewing and documenting investment and business processes
Contributing to process and technology enhancements, including automation of manual activities
Developing and maintaining investment tools, self-service reporting, and management information using tools like Excel, Power BI, and Python

The ideal candidate will have:

An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Internship or relevant experience in asset management, investments, or the broader financial services industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in financial analysis and investment processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in VBA, Python, Power BI, and other tools being an asset
