Senior IT Project Manager I Banking Industry (Up to 100K)

Job Description

The Role: • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale Finance IT projects across Product Control, Financial Control, Regulatory Finance and related domains. • Own project planning and governance, including milestones, dependencies, RAID, budgets, change control and senior management reporting. • Coordinate delivery across multiple upstream/downstream systems, technology teams and business functions, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines and acceptance criteria. • Manage requirements and scope throughout the delivery lifecycle, maintaining traceability from requirements through development, testing and implementation. • Oversee build and testing activities, including SIT, UAT and non-functional testing, partnering with architects and engineering teams on technical and implementation decisions. • Apply appropriate delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile/Scrum and SAFe, while proactively managing delivery risks, integration challenges and stakeholder expectations. Experience Needed: • At least 8 years of project/delivery management experience in the banking industry, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale, complex technology initiatives. • Strong knowledge of Finance within Global Markets, ideally covering Product Control, Financial Control and/or Regulatory Finance. • Good understanding of Global Markets traded products, trade lifecycle, Operations and front-to-back processing flows. • Proven experience managing multiple systems, cross-functional dependencies and senior stakeholders within complex global organisations. • Strong technical understanding with the ability to engage architects and engineering teams on solution design and implementation; application development and/or microservices experience is advantageous. • Strong project governance, communication, and problem-solving capabilities, with hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.
