About the role We are looking for a dynamic professional to assume the role of Responsible Officer (RO) for General Insurance business. This pivotal position carries a key role in overseeing the firm's compliance with insurance regulations and ensuring the integrity of insurance management operations. Key Responsibilities: • Act as the named Responsible Officer licensed by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority (IA), lead the overall regulatory management of the company's general insurance regulated activities. • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison with the Insurance Authority (IA) for all matters regarding the company’s insurance licenses. • Direct insurance-related functions (including member motor insurance and travel insurance) and work closely with external insurance partners to achieve business goals. • Manage a team to perform daily front-to-end and back-office operations. • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance the firm’s comprehensive compliance framework, including policies, operation procedures, and controls manuals. Ensure that daily business operations comply with the regulations of the IA and internal compliance requirements. • Participate in business strategic planning and major decision-making, provide professional advice from a compliance and regulatory perspective, balance business development and risk control, and report regularly to senior management and the Committee. • Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and best practices.
