Assistant Manager, ESG Risk & Compliance (Listed Company)

Job Description

Our client is a well-established listed company and is hiring to fill a new headcount to strengthen its ESG & compliance framework to support its regional expansion. Responsibilities • HSSE Governance & Oversight: Set up and run the Global HSSE governance framework (Health & Safety, ISO compliance, and Environmental Sustainability) to ensure consistent execution across regions and business segments. • Corporate HSSE Support: Support the Corporate HSSE team in delivering HSSE strategy, programme governance, and cross-region alignment. • AI-enabled Compliance System: Design and govern an AI-enabled compliance management system to replace manual checks and improve HSSE assurance. • Corporate System Ownership: Own the HSSE compliance platform at corporate level (configuration standards, access control, data governance, and handover to regional HSSE leads). • Policies & Controls: Develop and maintain HSSE policies, SOPs, audit protocols, compliance checklists, and rule-based controls aligned with regulations and internal requirements. • Compliance Audits & Follow-up: Plan, conduct, and oversee internal compliance audits, including tracking corrective and preventive actions. • Non-compliance Handling: Investigate non-compliance events using root-cause analysis, manage escalation, and ensure remediation actions are completed. • Compliance Performance Reporting: Monitor and report compliance maturity, adoption rates, audit results, and readiness for external certification/accreditation. • External Certification Readiness: Coordinate corporate preparation for external certification, surveillance audits, and assurance engagements. • Regional Governance: Provide oversight to regional HSSE leads for group-wide initiatives (e.g., emissions reduction, renewable energy adoption, low-carbon transition). • Budget Stewardship: Support proper use of approved HSSE OPEX/CAPEX for corporate initiatives. • Ad-hoc HSSE Support: Perform other HSSE-related tasks assigned by senior management.
