Overview Join a leading international bank in Hong Kong as Sanctions & Operations Control Manager, supporting the Head of Operation Support & Control (OSC) in overseeing regulatory compliance, sanctions screening and key support functions across the operations platform. This role is ideal for a seasoned banking operations professional who enjoys control‑focused work, cross‑functional coordination and project involvement. Key Responsibilities • Support the Head of OSC in reviewing operations’ compliance with key regulatory rules and ordinances (e.g. DPS‑IS Guidelines, DPS Representation Rules, Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Code of Banking Practice), and helping implement necessary enhancements. • Oversee transaction sanctions screening performed by operations teams, including list management, system maintenance and supervision of hit review, clearance and escalation processes. • Supervise operations support functions such as issuing audit confirmations, certificates of balance and bank reference letters, handling law‑enforcement enquiries, document scanning and account‑administration tasks. • Manage department‑wide administration activities, including standard tariff/fee reviews, consolidation of responses for industry surveys and questionnaires, coordination of branch BCP matters and logistics for trainings, visitors and business trips. • Provide processing and back‑up support to other operations groups when required, ensuring continuity of service and adherence to control standards. • Act as project coordinator for operations‑related initiatives, from planning through implementation/product launch, and keep abreast of regulatory changes and alerts to assess their impact on transaction‑processing activities.
