Role Description The Owner role at Fugro in New Territories is a full-time, on-site leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and performance of the business unit or venture. The Owner will set long-term goals, manage financial planning and budgeting, and ensure that projects and services align with Fugro’s standards for safety, sustainability, and quality. Daily responsibilities include supervising multidisciplinary teams, guiding business development activities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. The role also involves reviewing operational data, making informed decisions on resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The Owner is expected to foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment and drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes. Qualifications • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing business units, projects, or organizations, with accountability for financial and operational performance. • Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource management. • Background in engineering, geoscience, construction, energy, or a related technical field is highly beneficial, preferably with exposure to Geo-data or infrastructure projects. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures. • Proven ability to develop client relationships, support business development initiatives, and represent the organization professionally in external engagements. • Track record of promoting safe, sustainable, and ethical practices in line with regulatory requirements and company values. • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, geoscience, or a related discipline; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA or relevant master’s) is an advantage. • Ability to work on-site in New Territories, with flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings, project oversight, or corporate events.
