Job Description

We have been tasked by a reputable shipping company to source for a Head of Marine to be based in Hong Kong. This is a senior leadership role where you must have had experience overseeing over 50 vessels. Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee marine operations across the managed fleet. • Provide operational guidance and support to Masters and vessel teams. • Monitor vessel movements, port calls, cargo operations and overall operational performance. • Coordinate with owners, charterers, agents and terminals to resolve operational issues and minimise delays. • Oversee voyage planning, vessel readiness, bunkering and port operations. • Monitor operational KPIs, delays, off-hire and vessel performance. • Work closely with Technical, Crewing, HSSEQ and Commercial teams to ensure smooth vessel operations. • Support the management of operational emergencies and critical situations. • Ensure vessels operate in line with company procedures and applicable maritime regulations. • Lead and develop the Marine Operations team and drive continuous improvement.
