Proprietary Trader/ Portfolio Manager - Global Prediction Markets Location: Hong Kong or London Overview: A global investment platform is establishing a dedicated desk focused on trading geopolitical and macro-driven event markets. The role centers on pricing and executing probability-based contracts across prediction exchanges and related venues. This is a fully proprietary mandate with direct responsibility for risk-taking and PnL. Key Responsibilities: • Execute trades across prediction markets covering geopolitical and macro events • Develop and refine proprietary strategies to generate independent PnL • Identify pricing inefficiencies and cross-market arbitrage opportunities • Price binary and multi-outcome contracts using probabilistic frameworks • Manage portfolio risk, capital allocation, and exposure in real time • Monitor breaking news, sentiment, and macro developments to inform trading • Contribute to the build-out of desk tools, analytics, and trading processes Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in prediction markets, event-driven trading, or political/geopolitical betting • Strong exposure to macro, geopolitical, or event-based probability markets • Buyside experience within a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or independent setup • Programming skills in Python or SQL preferred • Fluency in English required • Demonstrated ability to produce independent PnL and manage risk effectively • High-conviction decision making in fast-moving environments Preferred Skills (Optional): • Experience trading on platforms such as Polymarket or Kalshi • Background in sportsbook or political forecasting markets • Interest in building and scaling new trading initiatives Show More
