Job Description

• Advise on legal aspects of Alibaba Cloud’s international expansion, key focus is on leading international legal team ensuring compliance and leading compliance projects. • Provide advice to business teams on legal aspects of new business models and strategies, business operations and marketing activities. • Negotiate, draft and review key commercial project agreements. • Research local laws and regulations and manage outside counsel. Job Requirements • Legal qualification from international jurisdiction. PRC qualification also helpful but not required. • 8-15 years post-qualification experience at an international law firm and multi-national corporation, with experience leading legal team. • Technology sector experience or technology education background would be a plus. • Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills in English. Knowledge of other languages helpful but not required. • Possess a precise understanding of legal and regulatory requirements, and be skilled at providing practical legal and compliance advice to the business and driving the effective implementation of compliance solutions. • Strong sense of responsibility towards work; curious and passionate about technology, enjoys continuous challenges, and can make sound and accurate judgements even in complex and uncertain situations. • High integrity and excellent communication, teamwork, and creative problem-solving skills in handling legal issues.
