Head of Quantity Surveying

Job Description

Our client, a HK property developer with large portfolio in commercial, residential and hotels in HK, invites application for the position of Head of Quantity Surveying. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the commercial contractual and cost control of property projects from feasibility to construction and handover, delivering visibility, certainty, value and control on property expenditures with a consistent, efficient and effective process. Responsibilities • To develop, set up and implement effective contractual and cost control procedures with periodic reporting and regular contractual and cost control meetings to ensure project costs are within the approved budget. • To develop and review contract strategies in collaboration with project teams and other functions like Procurement to identify cost saving opportunities via prudent commercial negotiation process and value-engineering exercise to obtain the best value for money. • To improve supplier relationships by managing the appointment and performance of the consultants, contractors and suppliers. • To capture market and asset cost data, documentation and knowledge to support Commercial Management function: • To advise procurement, contract, tendering and package strategies that provide the most appropriate way to secure project.
