Job Summary The Application team is responsible for the design, implementation, and application support of HKEX’s market systems for clearing and settlement. The role supports specialized teams dedicated to maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements, and development of next‑generation HKEX platforms. Job Responsibilities • Lead system development and project implementation activities including business requirement analysis, resource and vendor management, and documentation. • Design and develop systems with modern technologies, e.g., cloud. • Collaborate with cross‑department IT teams. • Provide production system support. • Lead and develop a group of software developers in HK and China. • Undertake other assignments as directed by the supervisor. Job Requirements • Degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline. • Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, design, and production support in large‑scale or mission‑critical systems. • Minimum 5 years of experience leading a team of software developers. • Solid knowledge of Linux, databases, CI/CD, and cloud technologies. • Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and shell scripting. • Experience in vendor management, evaluation, and integration, preferably within banking or financial services. • Experience with OpenAPI and application security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API security) is an advantage. • Proficient in SDLC methodology and documentation. • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
