Company Overview • We are a Hong Kong‑based subsidiary of a diversified, Asia‑listed group that is currently preparing for the spin‑off and listing of an operating segment on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX). • Our business portfolio spans premium brand management, distribution of international beauty brands, and strategic real estate investments, with a strong presence across Asia. As the group advances its listing plans, we are strengthening our finance leadership to support more rigorous reporting, governance, and strategic planning across multiple entities and markets. • This is a high‑impact, finance‑leadership role that will sit at the centre of the group’s financial oversight and governance journey. Role Overview • You will be the principal finance owner of all group‑level financial information, ensuring that data presented to the Board, Audit Committee, and shareholders is accurate, complete, well‑analysed, and decision‑ready. • You will oversee group financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, governance, and stakeholder communication across multiple entities and markets, working closely with the Group CFO, Board, Audit Committee, and external auditors. • This role is designed for a technically strong finance professional who brings both depth in group accounting and clarity in communication to senior stakeholders involved in the listing preparation process. Key Responsibilities • Lead and govern the monthly group close and reporting process across all operating and investment entities, reviewing subsidiary management accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with group accounting policies. • Perform high‑level analytical reviews across countries and business segments, identifying and resolving issues at group level before they escalate to the Board or Audit Committee. • Oversee multi‑entity, multi‑currency group consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, foreign exchange translation, consolidation adjustments, and minority interests, exercising strong technical judgment on complex accounting matters relevant to distribution and real estate operations. • Ensure that consolidation outputs are audit‑ready and capable of withstanding close scrutiny from the Board, regulators, and external auditors. • Own the annual group budgeting process, coordinating inputs from operating entities, challenging subsidiary budgets for reasonableness and alignment with group strategy, and consolidating entity‑level budgets into a comprehensive group view with segment and country breakdowns. • Ensure consistent application of budget assumptions, foreign exchange rates, and accounting treatments, and support the Group CFO in preparing Board‑level budget write‑ups and key assumptions, as well as variance analysis of actuals versus budget for monthly and Board reporting. • Prepare monthly Board packs covering Group financial performance, segment results, cash flow, key performance indicators, covenant metrics, and key risks, serving as the primary finance point of contact for senior stakeholders on reported results. • Lead the preparation and coordination of quarterly results announcements and annual financial statements, supporting Board and Audit Committee reviews on significant judgments, estimates, and disclosures, and acting as the primary finance counterpart to external auditors throughout reporting cycles. • Maintain and enhance group accounting policies, reporting instructions, and internal controls, driving standardisation and reporting discipline across subsidiary finance teams. • Identify and implement improvements to reporting efficiency, controls, and data quality as the group scales, and assist in the migration to automation and data‑analytical tools that support more timely and insightful reporting. Ideal Candidates • 12–15+ years of progressive finance experience, with substantial exposure to group reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting, ideally in listed companies. • Proven experience in distribution, trading, logistics, or real estate‑related businesses, with a strong understanding of their operational and financial dynamics. • Current role at Group Financial Controller, Head of Group Reporting, Deputy CFO, or equivalent leadership level. • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent, with strong technical depth in IFRS accounting standards and multi‑entity consolidation. • Solid experience in complex accounting judgments, intercompany transactions, FX translation, minority interests, and disclosure‑driven reporting. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and financial modelling, and familiarity with consolidation or reporting systems. • Excellent command of spoken and written English, with the ability to prepare Board‑quality materials and communicate clearly to senior stakeholders and external auditors. • Confidence in engaging Board members, Audit Committees, external auditors, and senior management. • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively under tight reporting timelines. • Experience in mentoring and coaching finance staff and driving improvements through structured training and guidance. • A highly accountable, ownership‑driven mindset with the ability to balance technical rigor with commercial understanding. Terms & Benefits • Five‑day work week • No or very limited travel required, with a focus on group‑level consolidation, reporting, and governance. • 14–20 days of annual leave • Medical and personal accident insurance coverage. • Opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the group’s financial reporting and governance framework during a spin‑off and listing preparation phase, with direct exposure to the Group CFO, Board, and external stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr
